The inaugural Dhai Dubai Light Art Festival illuminated Expo City with a dazzling display of light and creativity, inviting visitors on an immersive journey through captivating installations and compelling visual storytelling.
Held over a span of ten days, the festival brought together artists, designers, and technology experts to craft a unique spectacle that celebrates innovation and cultural expression.
Showcasing an eclectic collection of light art pieces, the event merged traditional and modern elements to create thought-provoking and visually stunning displays.
THE CONCEPT
Each installation told a story, highlighting themes such as sustainability, cultural heritage, and futuristic innovation. Visitors were invited to explore the illuminated pathways and interact with dynamic artworks, making the experience both engaging and inspiring.
TGP International supported the festival’s vision by managing catering and curating dining options that complemented the artistic narrative.
Curated dining areas were strategically placed to provide immersive views of the installations, allowing guests to enjoy their meals while soaking in the illuminating atmosphere.
HIGHLIGHTS
The festival's highlights included large-scale projections, interactive light sculptures, and performances that blended art with technology. These elements entertained guests while encouraging dialogue about the role of light in art, sustainability and urban design. Dhai Dubai succeeded in creating a platform for local and international artists to showcase their talent, fostering a sense of global connectivity and artistic exchange.
Collaborations with local brands, brought diverse culinary options to the festival. Kanji by 3Fils, a popular cloud kitchen concept in Dubai, was transformed into a food truck for the event, offering celebrated modern Asian comfort food in an engaging, on-site setting. BRIX added a sweet touch with a wide variety of artisan desserts, elevating the F&B experience that perfectly complemented the vibrant atmosphere.
As a centrepiece of the festival’s culinary journey, we had the opportunity to deliver a one-of-a-kind dinner for Expo City’s leadership team and the participating artists at Dhai Dubai.
The dinner was an intimate affair with a modern, yet traditional-inspired menu created by Erth. The scenic setting provided a captivating experience, surrounded by the pampas grass of UAE mangroves and coastal sand dunes. The thoughtfully curated menu featured dishes such as Emirate Chicken Harees, Camel Meat Lasagna, and Batheeta Crémeux, showcasing regional flavours with a contemporary twist and creating an opportunity for cultural connection and reflection on the festival’s themes.
